All eyes on you...

The labels have been collected mostly from the flea market of Elaionas where all left overs of the previous sellers end up in the landfills of Nea Ionia. Wish I had a space big enough to take it all and create something. The t-shirt has been hand washed for obvious reasons. Clothing labels stitched on a used 100% cotton t-shirt XL of mine.

will never give up no matter what...

I have been collecting used kitchen sponges from short term apartments for the last 5 years. It is a pity that this kind of material ends up in the rubbish. When you wash your dishes with a sponge, it sheds tiny fibers. These fibers, a type of microplastics, can’t be filtered out by water treatment plants. These end up in the ocean where they join the millions of metric tons of plastic dumped there every year. Τhe synthetic materials that they’re composed of continue to release dioxins and formaldehyde into soil and the atmosphere. Every sponge has its unique color from its use by different people that stayed in each apartment. I did a part of Oia in Santorini. One of the most visited place in Greece. If you have been to the island you know they have a problem with waste management.

we still have each other...

Dont remember exactly when i discovered mazut but should be between 2010-11, when we were exploring abandoned factories with Pralina. I didnt pay so much attention to it but was quite happy since it is completely black and there are many things you can do with it. I figure it out how to use it and that it is very difficult to dry especially when you paint indoor. It smells and doesnt come off from the clothes so you have to be very careful. The photos are put chronologically from 2011 till 2014. Most of the stuff were done alone and few with Pars and Pralina. The long sentences are mostly erotic. The main reason was to write something real and provocative without getting caught which did happen. This is a sample of what i would like to publish but most probably wont happen. Thanks for reading.

wish i could...

There is something interesting about the rotten/worn out awnings on the balconies of apartment buildings. It shows the poorness and the negligence of the owners or maybe they just like it the way it is. Most of these apartments are habitable. Wish I could replace with new ones and show the old ones in an exhibition along the history of the industry of the awning in the city of Athens. Photos taken with android phone.

I did Spongebob for the obvious reasons.
