I have been collecting used kitchen sponges from short term apartments for the last 3 years. It is a pity that this kind of material ends up in the rubbish. When you wash your dishes with a sponge, it sheds tiny fibers. These fibers, a type of microplastics, can’t be filtered out by water treatment plants. These end up in the ocean where they join the millions of metric tons of plastic dumped there every year. Τhe synthetic materials that they’re composed of continue to release dioxins and formaldehyde into soil and the atmosphere. Every sponge has its unique color from its use by different people that stayed in each apartment. I did Spongebob for the obvious reasons.

the seven samurai...
I discovered the existence of this small mag. around in 2009. Most of the artworks (70%) have been made in 2001 but the mag. was printed in 2006. The abandoned place is the very known chemical factory Diana in Thessaloniki. The reason it was made is the wall from the protagonist of the movie The Seven Samurai. It was printed by the municipality of Stavroupoli in 2000 copies. Some small poems are included too. This is the only one that is left.

time is all i need...
I visited these buildings with Anna Dimitriou last year in Oktober. The buildings were already looted and there were some graffiti. Even if they are not in the zone of the old airport of Athens I guess they are part of it. There is a plan since 2013 for development in the area and just recently the government announced the demolishion of some buildings. But I wasnt sure which buildings they were so I went for a quick visit couple of days ago. There are still a lot of things and few walls are intact. Hopefully next year I will do some stuff there before its completely gone.
