temporary castles...

I have been collecting used kitchen sponges from short term apartments for the last 1,5 years. It is a pity that this kind of material ends up in the rubbish. Τhe synthetic materials that they’re composed of continue to release dioxins and formaldehyde into soil and the atmosphere. Every sponge has its unique color from its use by different people that stayed in each apartment. These are the results of few experiments I did during our stay of the lockdown.

now more than ever...

Last year we ( me and my girlfriend ) were in Serifos for REMAINS
This is a sample of our waste for about 8 days including Kimolos and Milos
Most of the garbage are plastic bottles since you can't drink tap water on most greek islands and probably none. The rest are food packages from mini markets and take away shops.
I kept 2/5 of the waste to document it and to remind myself to make less.

"Man on Earth"

Series of maps made out of plastic bags,silicone and laminated maps.
Most of the bags are HDPE2 and LDPE4 glued with silicone on top of real maps that have been found. Some bags and maps have been bought since its not so easy to find in the streets.
More maps are on the way for a show in Vienna and Athens.
No abandonment for the moment.

noone knows where will it take us...

An abandoned factory on the island of Kea (Tzia). In most of the parts it has virgin walls and rooms.
No locks or any signs just a lot of bushes and some of them sticks. Worth visiting if you ever come on this 2 hours trip from Athens.
